Version 26.8.1

## Network operations, kept on premises

Opia by Nu-topia Solutions Ltd. is an offline-capable Windows application for Cisco IOS and IOS-XE configuration backup, inventory, topology and operational review. Device data remains in the customer-controlled environment unless an operator deliberately exports it.

The desktop application is the management console. The Opia Agent Windows service runs queued and scheduled work, including when the console is closed.

## New to Opia?

- [Getting Started](/getting-started/) — Follow the first-use journey from installation and licensing to your first backup and topology view.

- [Installation](/installation/) — Install Opia, choose the first Product Administrator, repair an installation or move to a newer version.

- [Licensing](/licensing/) — Create an offline licence request, import the signed licence and understand capacity and expiry.

- [Dashboard](/dashboard/) — Understand the current health of devices, backups, the Agent, licensing and recent work.

## Use Opia

- [Devices and Credentials](/devices/) — Add devices, assign secure access profiles and test connectivity.

- [Backups](/backups/) — Run, schedule and compare configuration backups.

- [Fingerprinting and Inventory](/inventory/) — Collect and review device, interface, VLAN, neighbour and routing evidence.

- [Topology](/topology/) — Explore observed and inferred network relationships and export a topology PDF.

- [Automation](/automation/) — Create repeatable activities and schedules.

- [Operations and Issues](/operations/) — Track current work, investigate failures and review issues.

- [Settings](/settings/) — Configure storage, device access, automation defaults, notifications, diagnostics and licensing.

- [Troubleshooting](/troubleshooting/) — Work through common installation, Agent, device, licence and collection problems.

## Deploy and support

- [Support and Diagnostics](/support/) — Collect support evidence safely and generate reviewed support bundles.

- [Release Notes](/release-notes/) — See product capabilities, maintenance updates, customer impact and current limitations.

- [Legal and Notices](/legal/eula/) — Read the EULA, privacy notice and third-party notices.

## Important operating boundaries

- Opia 26.8.1 targets supported Cisco IOS and IOS-XE devices. Individual commands can vary by platform, software release, enabled features and privilege level.

- Topology inference is evidence-based. Review inferred relationships before using them to support a network change.

- Opia supports operational visibility and evidence; it does not replace change control, credential policy, tested recovery procedures or authoritative network records.

- Licence issuance and any files you deliberately export or send for support sit outside the local application boundary.
