Opia documentation
Opia Documentation
Start with the main Opia tasks, operating boundaries and documentation routes.
Applies to Opia 26.8.1Network operations, kept on premises
Opia by Nu-topia Solutions Ltd. is an offline-capable Windows application for Cisco IOS and IOS-XE configuration backup, inventory, topology and operational review. Device data remains in the customer-controlled environment unless an operator deliberately exports it.
The desktop application is the management console. The Opia Agent Windows service runs queued and scheduled work, including when the console is closed.

Deploy and support
Important operating boundaries
- Opia 26.8.1 targets supported Cisco IOS and IOS-XE devices. Individual commands can vary by platform, software release, enabled features and privilege level.
- Topology inference is evidence-based. Review inferred relationships before using them to support a network change.
- Opia supports operational visibility and evidence; it does not replace change control, credential policy, tested recovery procedures or authoritative network records.
- Licence issuance and any files you deliberately export or send for support sit outside the local application boundary.
